"My mom and I plan on making this an annual event. I will be riding in memory of my Nana, Doris Evelyn, who battled breast, ovarian, spinal and lung cancer for many years before her passing in 2000. This ride is for her, for every person who, like me, has lost his or her best friend to cancer, and in hope that someday, not too far from now, no one else will have to. Thank you for sponsoring my ride and the cause for the cure."
